Mandatory Enrollment of
New York City Homeless
The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has begun mandatory enrollment of the New York City homeless population into Medicaid managed care. In New York City implementation began on April 1, 2012, and will continue in three phases over a six-month period, each targeting a specific homeless population. Each stage will begin with New York Medicaid Choice mailing mandatory enrollment notices to homeless individuals advising them they must chose a health plan within 30 days or they will be auto-assigned to a health plan. more
 New EmblemHealth Contact Information Tool
We are offering new contact tools for providers interacting with EmblemHealth and our plans underwritten by HIP and GHI. These tools will give you the correct contact information for obtaining general plan information, referrals, prior approvals or for any other business you regularly conduct with us. The tools are available on our Provider Manual and Additional Resources Web page under 'Directory,' then 'Related Links,' then 'Quick Reference Cards.'
EmblemHealth Injectable Drug Utilization Management Program Begins
 A reminder that June 1, 2012, is the start date for EmblemHealth's Injectable Drug Utilization Management Program. ICORE, who will be administering prior approvals for the specified list of medications affected by the program, is offering Webinars to instruct providers on how to obtain prior approvals through their Web site. more

ICORE Webinars Continue
ICORE still has openings available for the remaining Webinar on June 4, 2012. The Webinar instructs providers on how to obtain prior approvals for our Injectable Drug Utilization Management Program. The remaining openings are filling quickly, so register by completing the online form.
Provider Advisory Webinar
Our next Provider Advisory Webinar is for new staff -- summer interns and new hires -- to introduce them to EmblemHealth, our Web site and other information they will need to know about us. The Webinar is on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 3 pm. You may continue to register until June 4, 2012.
