Help Support Breastfeeding


Breastfeeding is one of the most effective preventive measures a mother can take to protect the health of her infant and herself. Our Healthy Beginnings PATH program supports initiatives that help mothers choose to breastfeed their newborns exclusively for at least the first six months. We invite practitioners to join us by educating pregnant women and new mothers about the importance of breastfeeding. New York State's Breastfeeding Pocket Guide for Health Care Providers provides ideas and resources you can use when talking with your patients about breastfeeding.
