Prompt, responsive Account Service
GHI is committed to providing you with fast and accurate answers to any questions you may have about your group’s coverage. Our goal is that you will be able to use the myGHI for Groups Web portal for most of your GHI transactions. There may be times, however, that you will need to contact GHI for special assistance regarding administrative issues. We’re proud to say that our Account Services representatives are ready and able to answer your questions on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Claims issues—status and adjustments.
- Membership and eligibility questions.
- Benefits information.
- Requests for copies of checks and questions about check status—stop payments and reissues.
- Requests for replacement ID cards and copies of EOBs.
Account Services can be reached Monday through Friday, from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M., at (212) 615-4228.
Please note that if you are making inquiries on behalf of a group member, the member can independently obtain quick answers on many of these topics—including benefits, eligibility, claim status, replacement ID cards and copies of EOBs—by registering for myGHI for Members, or by calling the GHI AnswerLine automated telephone system at (212) 501-4GHI.
When you call GHI Account Services during business hours, there is no automated phone line. You speak directly to one of our representatives who are well-equipped to answer your call quickly and accurately. Our Account Services representatives average 13 years of experience serving GHI group customers. The average call wait time is 7 seconds; 92% of inquiries are resolved on your first contact with GHI. For more complex inquiries that cannot be resolved on first contact, the representative you speak with will handle your issue personally to resolution. He or she will call you with a written confirmation when the issue is resolved.
We’ll come to you!
GHI Account Services representatives are also available to visit your office, upon request, to bring your staff up to speed on administrative procedures and to troubleshoot any open items.
When should you call your GHI Account Executive?
In addition to GHI Account Services, your group is also able to take advantage of the guidance of your GHI Account Executive. The Account Executive is assigned specifically to serve as a benefits consultant for your group, assisting you with questions regarding benefits changes, premium, reconciliation, and coverage renewals.
